Loving the travellers notebooks. This is the watercolor paper version and for a 25% cotton watercolor paper it’s thick and can hold water washes, great for sketch and wash and landscape paintings. Portrait it held up under the multiple layers of glazing, and was ok with scrubbing. However at one point felt like I was pushing the paint around.
Here’s a few of my favourite shots – some after food, plein air and others just painting life.

Overall it’s a great little notebook like the others it’s portable. However because of the thickness you don’t get as many pages so dollar cost averaging it’s more expensive than the travellers sketch book. For a simple sketch and wash go the sketch notebook would be my pick. If you need to do rework, scrubbing or lots of layers and wanting to work wet in wet, such as for portraits, then the watercolor notebook is best.
Great to have the option and this notebook I carried with another sketch book or notebook for notes in my A6 pen case.
